When does the month start? The first day of month or the day I sign up?

The day you sign up.

Do any of the units have roll-up doors?

Yes, a majority of the units have roll-up doors.

Can anybody drive onto this property or do you need a PIN number?

The Fountain Valley and Riverside locations are fenced and an access code is required to enter their gates.

Are my belongings safe?

Security measures for the Fountain Valley and Riverside locations include surveillance cameras, computerized gates requiring access codes, and on-site, resident managers.

Which unit sizes are available and who will assist me in picking the right size for me?

Unit sizes are listed on the individual locations pages here: Fountain Valley / Huntington Beach and Riverside / Corona. An on-site manager at either the Fountain Valley or Riverside location will be happy to assist you in choosing the right size unit to fit your needs.

What it the difference between indoor units and outdoor spaces?

Upstairs and downstairs indoor units are used to store business and household items. Outdoor spaces are for automobiles, boats, RV's, and trailers.

At which hours am I able to access my unit?

Hours are listed on the individual locations' pricing pages: Fountain Valley / Huntington Beach and Riverside / Corona.

Whom do I contact if I forget my access code or have lost the key to my lock?

Call or stop by the office and talk with a resident manager.

Is automotive, recreational vehicle, boat, and trailer parking offered?

Yes. Outside spaces are offered at the Fountain Valley and Riverside locations.

Is a minimum number of months required?

All rentals are month-to-month.

Do you have any move-in specials?

Yes. Contact the office of the facility near you to hear the current move-in specials.

Do you have on-site managers?

Yes, the Riverside and Fountain Valley locations have on-site managers.

Does The Storage Place offer drive-up units?

Yes, the larger downstairs units all have access to vehicles.

Can I change my storage unit to a different size after I have already moved in?

Yes. Contact an office manager and they will be happy to help you move to another unit.

What are your prices?

The Storage Place prices are listed on the individual locations pricing pages for Fountain Valley / Huntington Beach and Riverside / Corona.

Do you require a long term lease?

For the convenience of our customers, all leases are month-to-month.

Do you offer services for both the household and business customer?

Yes, both individuals and businesses are welcome.

What if I am late making a payment?

A late fee will apply.

Is my initial monthly rent guaranteed for as long as I rent my storage unit?

Unit pricing will increase from time-to-time based on inflation and other factors.

How can I report any maintenance issues such as a light out, or a gate not opening?

Call the office and ask to speak to one of the resident managers.

How do I cancel my storage unit?

By giving the office manager of the storage facility seven days written notice prior to your move-out day.

Move-In FAQs

Do I receive a lock when I rent a unit?

You may purchase a lock from our Fountain Valley location or bring your own lock.

Can I buy boxes and other packing products from The Storage Place?

Yes, our Fountain Valley location offers a full range of moving supplies for sale.

Do you have moving carts available?

Our Fountain Valley facility has 4-wheeled, flat bed moving carts.

Is a freight elevator available?

Freight elevators are available at our Fountain Valley location for second floor units. All units at our Riverside location are on the first floor.

Do you offer rental or move-in trucks?

The Storage Places does not, however, there are reliable businesses in each area that do.

What are the terms of payment?

Monthly in office payments are accepted by cash, check or credit card. Other payment options including sending checks by snail mail and automatic payments by credit card.

Does The Storage Place accept credit cards?

Yes, most major credit cards are accepted.

Are monthly invoices available?

All customers have the option of receiving email invoices. Business customers have the added option of receiving paper invoices.
